I feel I need to do a little update, but I can't remember what about!
Preston:
~ We went to the doctor on Tuesday and his RSV is all cleared up, no more breathing treatment, I'm so thrilled about that.
~ He was biting on my fingers this morning.... oh my goodness, he has a tooth coming in. Totally caught me by surprise (Carlee didn't get hers till she was one) but the only sign he had was a temperature but it all has happened at once with everything else. He didn't have any swelling or anything to show me, came at perfect timing since I quit nursing last week
Carlee:
~ I mentioned that we weren't going to let her watch TV at all last week. It went SO good, the first few days were a little tough, time goes by so quick & I get to being busy with things, I didn't realize how much TV she was watching. But her attitude has been better she'll play more or help me do thing and she loves it. Still likes to steal from Preston, but I guess I can't ask for too much, lol!
~ Since she wasn't watching TV she is saying SO many more words on her own, I have been so impressed. One that sticks out in my mind; in nursery this last Sunday they got to play with bubbles, so after we were back home from church I was changing her diaper & she says bubble!
Sammy:
~ His last day of working at Olive Garden will be tomorrow, yahoo!! Probably a good thing for me too since he just got hit on all night last night with a table of 7 women! I was totally laughing at some of the things they said to him, agreeing but laughing! They seriously said things to him that put me in shock!
Heidi:
~ I went to the doctors office last week and got medication for my sinus's & I have been clearing up so much I'm amazed
~ I have been sleeping SO well, I don't know what the big difference is, maybe clearing sinus's or maybe the kids sleeping through the night but seriously can't remember the last time I slept so well and for so many nights in a row, I literally haven't been waking up in the middle of the night at all!
Here's a pictures just because!
Beware, I invite myself over to peoples homes and only give them a few hours notice! With the kids being sick & us cooped up inside for a while I was itching to get out! So there is nothing like family, right! I called Teresa, my mother-in-law, Wednesday & asked if I could come bum with them for a few days. They were very sweet in letting me come, what would they say, NO! Anyway it was fun & just what I needed. It snowed!
We had fun, even if we couldn't go outside much, we love playing inside. Mason got the "Rock Band" game, so Carlee wanted to steel the show & play with the microphone. She's my little diva!
Preston loved all the space, I had to take a picture to show how he sits up, he seems to balance a little better this way. He does go from sitting to crawling but he now also goes from crawling to sitting too.
They got me this super cute outfit, from anchor blue, so cute, hadn't shopped there in a long time. Thanks so much I love it, I guess it was time to retire my favorite jeans of 7 years!
Carlee loves her grammer and papa, Preston too he just doesn't show it that well yet. Thanks for everything, we had a good time.

So it was 7:00pm on a Tuesday windy night, Preston was sleeping while Carlee & I played on the computer. Suddenly we hear these loud noises outside the kids rooms. It literally sounded like someone was messing with the windows, on top of that the next door neighbors dogs were freaking out and barking like crazy. We jump up, go into Carlee's room turn out the lights & look out the window (me.... very freaked out at the moment). I didn't see anything and couldn't figure it out but there was a lot of barking and even some whimpering from one dog like it was hurt. After a few minutes I got up the nerve to go out the front door, one minute earlier I realize that door wasn't locked so I quickly locked it, walk around the to the front and look to the side of the house. The trash can had fallen over but past that it was too dark and too freaky to stand it back up or even investigate. I went back inside got Carlee to be with me so that she could protect me, seriously so freaked out and needed someone with me. I called my sister so she could help me feel better, but seriously what is she going to do she lives in a completely different state. So Carlee & I hang out for a little bit and I decided to let Carlee go down for bed. While doing so I checked out her window one more time, just in case..... suddenly I heard dog panting, so close, there was no way that it could be the neighbors dogs, they just sounded that close. So I tap the window a few times & finally see a dog run by, yes a dog is stuck in my backyard..... again..... for the 4th time..... this is getting old! I went to the back door and come to discover there are two, one small, one big, both black dirty looking dogs. So I decided that I am not going to deal with them right now, if they are still stuck in my backyard in the morning I will discover if they are friendly & find out where they belong or call the dog people to come and pick them up (I've had to do this before.... really quite simple for me that way).
So 9:30pm comes a long and I have just woken Preston up to give him his breathing treatment & the door bell rings, I'm thinking there is no way I'm going to answere, I'm alone, it's late, I have a baby in my arms. But they prsisted and knocked a few more times, so I gave in, with my foot up & ready to stop the door if I needed..... I opened the door to find, to my relief, 4 kids. They told me they tought their cat might be in our backyard, we went through a quick little conversation about the 2 dogs stuck in the back that had gotten out be now. I let them in, & go to the backyard, sure enough their cat was back there, but..... it was dead! So sad, so gross, now I know why there were all these really loud noises at 7:00, these dogs were killing a cat. Sad! Poor girl, one of them was crying I gave them a shovel & a garbage bag & they cleaned it up, all on their own willingness. Good kids, I though, I was totally expecting them to leave it there, I don't know why. I'm glad that's over!
And if you can imagine, last night I wrote an email to our rental company and placed a work order to get that fence door fixed once and for all!

Good things lately:
~ we are all slowly getting better
~ I've had a little wake up call with everything that's been happening, a few different things to help make me a better mother
~ I finished my first home video Sunday. I wanted to organize all the videos in chronological order for each child & make videos out of them with a play menu and a scene menu. Didn't know if I had the equipment to do it, but found it within two different programs, so I was able to do it.... so excited about it!
~ Yesterday I COMPLETELY de-germed the house. Cleaned all toys, put stuffed toys in the washing machine, small toys in a bucket of bleach and all the bigger things wiped down with disinfectant wipes. Bathrooms, kitchen, floors.... you name it, it was cleaned & disinfected. I'm going to get this family health again!
~ Carlee is being, as we call it, "TV detoxed". We decided that Carlee, lately, has attitude (maybe it's a faze maybe not); she doesn't listen to what we say or ask. She doesn't say any of the "nice words" (please, thank you....) so we decided to not let Carlee watch any TV this week and see how her attitude changes. Twice yesterday & once today she has come up to me, given me the remote control and open the doors to the TV, she really wants to watch TV. I'll tell her we aren't watching TV this week so she shuts the door & moves along. I feel like she's already being more nice, but I think that has to do with me having a better attitude also.... we both are responding well to this "TV detox", lol!
~ Sam stayed home with the kids Sunday so I could go to church (not a good thing) but the fact that I was able to stay in the meetings and listen really well, I got a LOT out of the lessons, especially my RS lesson, so great! All about being a better mother, speaking kindly & being gentle. It was our ward conference so the stake leaders spoke, one other was about slowing down and listening to the spirit because those days of sitting on the porch with your grandparents are long gone, so we need to make it happen on our own. Me personally, I'm working on not being in a rush everywhere I go!

Here is a picture of Preston with his mask on, I think that it is a fish. Either that or a dragon, who knows! Can you tell how much he likes having that on his face!
Everyone is feeling better today. I feel like I can move and take care of things, Carlee's temperature has been down significantly today. And Preston, surprisingly slept through the whole night and woke up very happy, took another really great nap and has been happy, he has a bad cough & really hates doing his treatment but he is doing really well.
I'm going to take a nap since that's what the kids are doing!

Thank you so much for ever thing you have done lately. With me and the two kids all getting progressively sick you have been such a help. I knew when I woke up today and Preston wouldn't stop crying that I needed your help. You did so much, you:
1. stayed home from work
2. got the kids dressed and ready for the day
3. got Carlee some breakfast
4. went to the store to get me some medicine
5. changed many diapers
6. let me sleep all day long
7. got me lunch
8. got the kids down for their naps
9. took Preston to the doctor while Carlee and I stayed home sleeping
10. dropped off and picked up his prescriptions
11. cuddled and helped the kids feel comfortable
12. never got frustrated or complained
13. and much much more
All while you had to start working at Olive Garden today. Thank you, I love you! You are my hero!
About the kiddos:
Preston was diagnosed with RSV, so crazy since my friend is seriously dealing with this same thing but with newborns (I hope all is going better for you). RSV is a virus in the lungs that leads to bronchiolitis and pneumonia among infants. So the doctor gave us a respirator type thing that we give him his medicine through. I'll take a picture soon, he did well his first time considering he has a mask on his face during the process. We'll being doing that about 3 times a day, he's a big strong baby and since he's 6 months I'm confident he'll pull through fine.
Poor Carlee is sick with a high fever, it's progressively gotten worse these last two days till tonight, the medicine wasn't doing it's thing really but it finally went down from 103.8 to 101.8 within a half an hour, so happy about that. She is a very easy sick baby, just likes to lay down relax, doesn't cry, so poor thing didn't get as much attention as she deserved since Preston was having a tough time too.
I love my sweet little family!

Sam and I just finished reading this book that he found, The Wednesday Letters, we both really liked it and would recommend it to anyone. Sam and I decided to started reading books together and this was our first attempt that we actually got through.
Sam has helped our friend take pictures at two weddings within the last few months. I finally made a post about them in our photography section. To take a look click here.

Preston turned 6 months old yesterday, I had been thinking about what I wanted to do for his pictures a long time ago. One of his gifts for Christmas were these stackable cups because I needed something like that for my idea. Yesterday I started his photo shoot and was having a tough time by myself since he now doesn't want to hold still. My first few pictures were like this
or of him crawling away, like the first picture, but I like them I think he's cute.
Here are a few more from the photo shoot, Sam was gone and my friend B came over, so I made her help to keep him sitting still.

What he's doing with his mouth he does all day long.
I'm not sure of Preston's weight and stats so I'll just update his latest.
~ crawling (real crawl for about a week)
~ sitting up still a little tipsy
~ eating Gerber's puffs for 2 days now. He absolutely loves these, freaks out when he sees the bottle
Saturday we were all sitting around watching tv and Preston was playing at my feet. Suddenly Sam says did you pull him up or did he do that himself. He totally did it himself, I was so surprised that he did it! Five minutes before he did it he was at my feet climbing up but still only to his knees (he'd been doing that a lot lately) so I showed him real quick how to put one foot up and he was able to get himself up by himself. Then 5 minutes later, vualla, he did it just after showing him once how to do it. And he's done it several time every day since then.
Here is some video of Preston crawling in all his glory!
